Freelance Junior Arts Practitioner 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has the passion, imagination and creative drive to assist in the delivery of workshops and performance within an established inclusive theatre company.

TramShed is an inclusive theatre company based in Blackpool with members across the Fylde coast and beyond. TramShed was established in 2005 and pride ourselves in offering the highest standard of inclusive performing arts workshops, performances and training.

Who we are looking for:

TramShed are a diverse and experienced company, offering bespoke and dynamic training to our staff and volunteers. We are looking for an individual with a passion for the arts. Experience in drama, music or dance is desirable. The role includes working in a variety of settings, working with a variety of ages and/or performance experience.

TramShed create outstanding, original and beautiful theatre and we need our candidates to be able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. The successful applicant will have a proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to team work.

Hours of work:

We are looking to engage an individual for a freelance contract - initially 3-8 hours per week, working across Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde from February 2026. The post will commence on Monday 23rd February 2026. 

The hours are split between our membership workshop delivery on a Monday and Tuesday evening (termtime) and our Shed Stories TIE programme (as and when required during termtime, in various educational settings). We are looking for a candidate that can facilitate either or both of these roles.
